These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of ubrokeit’s repair services, our website at ubrokeit.biz, and all interactions with our business. By bringing a device in for repair, submitting a mail-in repair, using our website, or booking a service, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services Offered
ubrokeit provides hardware repair services for consumer electronic devices including but not limited to:
- Mobile Phones — Screen replacement, battery replacement, charging port repair, back glass repair, water damage diagnosis, camera lens repair, speaker and microphone repair, and button repair.
- Tablets — Screen replacement, battery replacement, charging port repair, water damage diagnosis, camera repair, and button repair across all major brands.
- Laptops — Screen replacement, battery replacement, keyboard repair, charging port repair, thermal cleaning, and water damage diagnosis across all major brands.
- Smartwatches — Screen replacement, battery replacement, crown repair, and charging contact repair.
- Game Consoles — HDMI port repair, disc drive repair, thermal cleaning, controller repair, and power issue diagnosis.
- Software Services — iOS and Android diagnostics, operating system reinstalls, and data recovery.
ubrokeit reserves the right to decline any repair at its discretion. We do not offer mobile or on-site repair services. We do not sell devices or trade-in programs.
2. Estimates and Pricing
All estimates are provided before any repair work begins. No repair will be started without your explicit approval of the quoted price. Estimates are based on the described issue and initial inspection — if additional damage is discovered upon opening the device, we will contact you with an updated estimate before proceeding.
For mail-in repairs, estimates are provided after your device is received and inspected. You will be contacted for approval before any work begins. If you decline the revised estimate, your device will be returned to you at no charge for the diagnostic.
We accept payment by credit card (processed through Square), cash, and Zelle. Payment is due upon completion of the repair before the device is returned. For mail-in repairs, payment is required before the device is shipped back.
3. Lifetime Warranty
ubrokeit provides a lifetime warranty on all parts and labor for repairs we perform. If a repair we completed fails due to defective parts or workmanship, we will repair it again at no additional charge. This warranty applies for the lifetime of the device and has no time limit.
The lifetime warranty does not cover:
- New physical damage, drops, or accidental damage occurring after the repair
- Water or liquid damage occurring after the repair
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs performed by another party after our repair
- Normal wear and tear on consumable components such as batteries, which degrade naturally over time
- Software issues unrelated to the hardware repair performed
- Devices with pre-existing conditions not related to the repair performed

4. Customer Responsibilities
- Data Backup — You are solely responsible for backing up all data on your device before bringing it in for repair. ubrokeit strongly recommends creating a full backup via iCloud, Google Drive, iTunes, or your preferred backup method before any repair. ubrokeit is not responsible for any data loss that occurs during the repair process.
- Passcodes and Access — Some repairs may require you to disable your device passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, or Find My / Google Find My Device before the repair. We will notify you when this is required. Failure to provide necessary access may delay or prevent completion of the repair.
- Accurate Information — You are responsible for providing accurate information about your device, the issue, and any prior repairs. Failure to disclose prior repairs or damage may affect our ability to complete the repair and may void the warranty.
- Device Collection — Repaired devices must be collected within 30 days of notification that the repair is complete. ubrokeit reserves the right to charge a storage fee for devices not collected within 30 days and to dispose of unclaimed devices after 90 days with appropriate notice.
- Mail-In Repairs — For mail-in repairs, you are responsible for packaging your device safely. ubrokeit is not responsible for damage that occurs during inbound shipping. We recommend using the prepaid label we provide and packing your device in padded packaging.
5. Data and Device Privacy
ubrokeit respects the privacy of your personal data. We do not access, copy, or transmit personal data stored on your device during hardware repairs. For software diagnostics, iOS/Android reinstalls, and data recovery services, limited access to the device may be required to complete the service. We do not retain, copy, or share any personal data encountered during any service.
ubrokeit is not responsible for data loss that occurs during any repair or service. We strongly recommend a full backup before any repair. For data recovery services, we will advise you of the likelihood of recovery before starting work — data recovery is not guaranteed.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ubrokeit’s total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific repair that is the subject of the claim.
ubrokeit is not liable for:
- Loss of data, photos, contacts, applications, or any other content stored on your device
- Loss of use of your device during the repair period
- Pre-existing defects or damage not caused by our repair
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
- Damage caused by manufacturer defects, software failures, or issues unrelated to the repair performed
- Damage occurring after the repair is complete and the device has been returned to you
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on liability for certain types of damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
7. Parts and Repairs
ubrokeit uses quality third-party replacement parts for most repairs. We are not an authorized service provider for Apple, Samsung, Google, or any other manufacturer. Repairs performed by ubrokeit may void your device’s manufacturer warranty. We will advise you of this before beginning any repair when applicable.
Original manufacturer parts may be available for certain repairs at an additional cost — ask us before your repair begins if original parts are important to you.
Parts removed from your device during a repair remain the property of ubrokeit unless you specifically request them at the time of drop-off. We cannot guarantee the return of original parts after the repair is complete.
8. Water Damage and Complex Repairs
Water damage repairs and certain complex repairs are provided on a best-effort basis. ubrokeit cannot guarantee the outcome of water damage diagnosis and repair. If a device is determined to be beyond repair, we will notify you before any work is performed beyond the initial diagnosis. There is no charge for the diagnostic if the device is deemed unrepairable, unless diagnostic work beyond a basic inspection was required and agreed upon in advance.
In some cases, a device that appears to be functioning after a water damage repair may fail at a later date due to corrosion or latent damage. ubrokeit is not liable for device failure that occurs after a water damage repair due to pre-existing liquid damage that was not apparent at the time of repair.
9. Abandoned Devices
Devices not collected within 30 days of notification that the repair is complete, or devices for which no response is received within 30 days of a repair estimate, will be considered abandoned. ubrokeit will make reasonable attempts to contact you before treating a device as abandoned. After 90 days, abandoned devices may be disposed of or recycled. ubrokeit is not liable for any loss resulting from the disposal of an abandoned device.
10. Website Use
The content on ubrokeit.biz is provided for general information purposes. While we make every effort to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content on the site. Pricing, availability, and service offerings may change without notice.
You may not use our website for any unlawful purpose, to transmit harmful content, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on ubrokeit.biz — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of ubrokeit and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without express written permission.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Los Angeles County for the resolution of any such dispute.
Before initiating any legal action, you agree to first contact us in good faith to attempt to resolve the dispute informally at greg@ubrokeit.biz or (310) 743-6000.
13. Changes to These Terms
ubrokeit reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. The date of the most recent update is shown at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
