I used to do all my iPhone repairs at the Apple Store, but they now have a policy that requires them to update your iOS to the latest version every time you give your phone to them for a repair. This is not something I like to do, so I had to find a 3rd party repair shop that I felt I could trust as much as Apple. I discovered Ubrokeit (with Chat GPT's help) and I have been there twice now. What I can tell you about my experience is that Gregory, the owner, is both professional and a good guy. 2 anecdotes I can share: The first time I went, I was backing up my iPhone in the hallway, and this older lady (who didn't really speak English or know anything about technology) came to ask him for a repair. He could have easily dismissed or taken advantage of her, but instead he was very patient and honest with her. The second time, I was 30 mins late for my appointment, and he still gave me a price that was more fair than he had to and said he appreciated my return business. Bottom line is I'm glad I found Ubrokeit and feel like I'm in good hands there. J NTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Do you need it done cleanly, professionally, quickly, and at a reasonable price? Greg at UBROKEIT is your guy. The ABSOLUTE VERY BEST PHONE/COMPUTER REPAIRMAN. Truly--I live in Central California and I have called shops up and down the state--in Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego...I've called ALL of them in the state trying to get my laptop back to life. NONE are as PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE, and DETAILED as Greg. I came in with a nine year old tablet (Microsoft Surface Pro 5) that NOBODY ELSE even attempted to fix. Literally NOBODY ELSE even took a glance at my beloved tablet--I called and everyone else automatically said no. UBROKEIT/Greg took it in IMMEDIATELY and promptly got it work. He communicated clearly what he intended to do, about how much it would cost (which was very reasonable for the work involved), and let me know when I could pick it up. Also, his shop has FREE PARKING. In Los Angeles!! Can you believe it? So smooth, so easy. He'll also take mail in orders too and ship it right back to you. Could not be any easier. Am I always so positive? Look up my review history--I do not leave many positive reviews at all. I only leave 5 stars for those that deserve it, and will warn people from places that do not earn my trust. Greg at UBROKEIT is one of those gems that is a lifesaver when you're trying to keep electronics out of the landfill and in good working condition. THANK YOU GREG AND UBROKEIT -- A+++ & 100/100 rating well deserved. Anthony KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Samsung Charging Port Repair — Los Angeles
A Samsung that won’t charge is a Samsung that won’t work. Whether your Galaxy is charging slowly, only connecting at a specific angle, cutting in and out, or refusing to charge at all — the charging port is almost always where the problem starts. It’s one of the most common repairs at ubrokeit, and in most cases the phone is fully fixable without a replacement.
What’s Actually Wrong With Your Charging Port
Not every charging problem means the port is broken. Before assuming the worst, it’s worth ruling out the obvious stuff. Lint and debris compact inside USB-C ports over time — especially in pockets and bags — and a blocked port can mimic a damaged one almost perfectly. If your cable feels loose or the phone charges intermittently, there’s a real chance a thorough cleaning is all it needs.
If cleaning doesn’t resolve it, the port itself is the next suspect. USB-C ports have small pins inside that wear down with repeated use, and the solder joints that hold the port to the board can crack from stress or drops. When that happens, the connection becomes unreliable or fails entirely. A charging port replacement fixes this.
There’s also the possibility the issue is with the battery rather than the port — a battery that’s worn out won’t hold a charge no matter how good the port is. If we open it up and the port looks fine, we’ll tell you that and show you what we found.
Samsung Models We Repair
ubrokeit repairs charging ports across the Samsung Galaxy lineup — S series, A series, Note series, and more. The most common models we see are the Galaxy S21, S22, S23, S24, A14, A34, A54, and Note 20 series, but if you’ve got something older or less common, call us and we’ll let you know where things stand on parts.
Parts availability is the honest caveat with Samsung repairs: newer flagship models and popular mid-range phones are generally well-stocked, but less common models sometimes take a day or two to source. We’ll always tell you upfront what we have and what we need to order. No surprises.
The Repair Process
When you bring your Samsung in, we start with a diagnosis. We’ll check the port visually, test the connection, and rule out software or battery issues before recommending a replacement. If it’s lint, we clean it. If the port is worn or damaged, we replace it.
Charging port replacements on Samsung phones involve removing the back glass, disconnecting the battery, and replacing the port assembly — then reassembling and testing. It’s a precise repair, not a simple swap, which is why you want someone who’s done it before. Greg has been doing this for over 11 years and has worked on a lot of Galaxy phones.
After the repair, we test charging with multiple cables and check the connection before you leave. If anything’s off, we address it before handing the phone back.
Why Not Just Buy a New Phone?
A charging port repair typically costs a fraction of a new phone — or even a refurbished one. If your Samsung is otherwise in good shape, fixing the port extends its life significantly. A two or three-year-old Galaxy S series phone is still a capable device. A dead charging port doesn’t change that.
The cases where replacement makes more sense are phones with multiple serious issues — cracked screen, bad battery, and a damaged port all at once. We’ll give you an honest read on whether the repair is worth it for your specific phone. If the math doesn’t work in your favor, we’ll say so.
