1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways: directly from you, automatically through your use of our website, and in connection with the repair services we provide.

Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact information — Name, email address, and phone number when you contact us, submit a form, book a repair, or use our mail-in repair service.
  • Device information — Make, model, serial number, and description of the issue with your device when you bring it in or ship it for repair.
  • Mailing address — For mail-in repair customers who need a return shipping label or device shipped back.
  • Payment information — We accept credit cards processed through Square, cash, and Zelle. Credit card details are handled entirely by Square and are never stored by ubrokeit directly. Zelle payments are processed through your own banking app.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics data — We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use our website, including pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location based on IP address. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
  • Cookies — Our website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. See Section 7 for more detail on cookies.
  • Log data — Our web hosting provider may automatically record IP addresses, browser information, and page requests in server logs.

Information From Forms

Our website uses WPForms for contact and booking forms. Information submitted through these forms is stored in our WordPress database and may be delivered to us via email notification. We do not use form submissions for marketing purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries — Answering questions submitted through our contact form, phone, or email.
  • To process payments — Completing transactions for repair services via Square, cash, or Zelle.
  • To improve our website — Using aggregated analytics data to understand how visitors use our site and improve the experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations — Retaining records as required by applicable law.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not send marketing emails or SMS messages. We do not maintain a newsletter or email marketing list.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Square — Credit card payments are processed through Square. Square receives payment information necessary to complete the transaction. Square’s privacy policy is available at squareup.com.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your personal information is stored on our WordPress website hosted by a third-party hosting provider. We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Payment card information is never stored by ubrokeit. All credit card data is handled directly by Square using PCI-DSS compliant systems.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
