Game console repair in West Los Angeles

Honest lead: a console is a drop-off, and it takes a few days, because doing it right takes a few days. Diagnosing the real fault, sourcing the right part, doing the work (including delicate board-level repairs), then running the system long enough to be sure it's genuinely fixed all take time. ubrokeit would rather quote an honest multi-day turnaround and hand back a console that truly works than rush it and see you back in a week. You'll get a realistic timeline when you drop it off.

What ubrokeit repairs on consoles

The work that brings a console back

  • Board-level repair

No picture, no power, or bent HDMI pins: micro-soldering on the mainboard, done in-house, not sent out. Plan on 3 to 10 days; mail-in welcome.

  • Power supply

Won't power on, clicks off, power-related shutdowns.

  • Optical / disc drive

Won't read or eject discs, grinding drives.

  • Deep cleaning & overheating

Dust-clogged fans, loud running, thermal shutdowns, fresh thermal paste.

Why board-level work makes a console a multi-day job

A console that powers on but shows no picture is usually a damaged HDMI port, and fixing that means desoldering the dead port off the board and soldering a new one on. The same board-level work brings back consoles that won't power on at all. A lot of shops won't touch micro-soldering; they ship it somewhere or turn it away. I do it in-house. It's intricate work, which is why board-level jobs run 3 to 10 days rather than same-day, and since a dead console has nothing to lose by shipping, you're welcome to mail it in. Either way, I'll tell you honestly what I find before I commit you to it.
