What gets graded
Trade-in programs check for physical damage, nothing else
This is the part people get wrong. Trade-in and buyback appraisals don't look at what's happening inside your phone. They look at the outside and confirm it powers on. Three things move the number: the front screen, the back glass, and the camera lens. If any of those is cracked or chipped, the appraisal comes back lower.
